Become a Certified Real-Time Crime Center Professional (RCCP)
The National Real Time Crime Center Association has developed criteria to determine competence in the practice of efficiently and effectively working in a Public Safety Real Time Crime Center and recognizes individuals meeting these criteria through its certification program. The NRTCCA is an independent body made up of Real Time Crime Center Professionals who determine what obligations you need to fulfill prior to and after certification.
The RCCP exam was developed through a combined effort of qualified content experts. While many crime centers have policies and procedures specific to their own agency, the RCCP exam focuses on general best practices that are applicable to all centers and those who staff them.
Individuals who meet the eligibility requirements and who successfully pass the examination attain the two-year designation. To re-certify, those holding the RCCP designation must meet certain criteria during their renewal period.
Five Steps to Initial Certification

Applicant must have 1 year of full-time experience working in a Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) for a public safety agency as a government employee, either as a sworn officer or a civilian handling casework (e.g., analyst, police technician).
